Spring 2009 Newsletter

Hello,

Our last meeting was held on February 3rd, and even though the weather was windy and cold, 13 members attended.

OLD BUSINESS

Steve Clay started our year off with a drawing class for Art Guild members, and all enjoyed learning how to grid their drawings, and how to use different kinds of pencils.

Four Bob Ross oil painting classes are scheduled for January and February at the Scottsville YMCA.

Unfortunately our Acrylic class with Sheri Madill has been canceled due to her moving out of the area. We are now in contact with some other instructors and hope to get another class scheduled soon.

NEW BUSINESS

The Art Guild will be participating in the Allen County Master Gardeners Spring Expo on April 4th. We will be displaying paintings and distributing information about the Art Guild.

The floor was opened for suggestions for a juror for the Summer's End Art Show to be held on September 19th. After some discussion it was agreed on a couple of prospects. I will contact them to see if they are interested in doing this.

Two delicious apple pies were brought by Lori Short, and enjoyed by all.

Thanks to all of you.....Next meeting will be March 3, 2009, at 1:00 p.m.
