The Scottsville Art Guild is again proud to present the 19th Annual Summer's End Art Show made possible by the Laura G. Turner Charitable Foundation. We will be offering both professional and amateur divisions in all adult categories. The young artist categories include three divisions: ages 6 thru 9, 10 thru 13, and 14 thru 17.
This year our show will be held at the Allen County Extension Building at 200 E. Main St., Scottsville, KY.
Misha Ambrosia, of Alvaton, KY, will be our esteemed juror this year.
ELIGIBILITY: Artists 6 thru 9, 10 thru 13, 14 thru 17 yrs., may enter two works without a fee. Artists 18 years and older must enter in the adult category. Adults may enter two works in each category with a $5 charge for EACH CATEGORY. No artist may enter both professional and amateur works in the same category. No computer graphics or air brush will be allowed. Photography is not open to children's division.
ADULT CATEGORIES: professional & amateur division
1. Photography - any size allowed
2. Miniatures; any medium allowed except photographs, but not to exceed 70 sq. inches including frame.
3. Abstract - any medium except photographs
4. Oil
5. Acrylic
6. Water Color
7. Black & White works on paper or canvas
8. Mixed Works - includes pastels, mixed media, colored pencils, collages, etc.
SPECIFICATIONS: All work must be properly framed, or be presented on wrap-around canvases with all edges finished, and must be ready for hanging. The Exhibit Committee reserves the right to refuse any work that is not properly framed or edges properly finished. (Children 6-9, and 10-13 entries need only be mounted on mat board or similar surface). Plexiglas is strongly recommended on all works larger than 24". All works must be done within the last two years and not previously shown in any Summer's End Art Show.

WORK ELIGIBLE: All entries must be the original work of the entering artist. The exhibition committee maintains the right to determine whether entries are appropriate for this exhibition.
LIABILITY: Precautions will be taken in handling work, but neither the Scottsville Art Guild nor the Allen County Extension Office can assume liability for loss or damage of work. They will not be responsible for work not picked up at the close of the show. If desired, individual artists may arrange for their own insurance.
DELIVERY/RETURN: All works must be delivered by hand on September 18th to the Allen County Extension building at 200 E. Main St. between the hours of 3:00-6:00 p.m. Each piece entered must have NAME, CATEGORY, & TITLE on the back. All work must be picked up following the show at 6:00 p.m. No work will be released before that time.
CALENDAR:
Sept 11 - deadline for entry forms- NO EXCEPTIONS
Sept 18 - delivery of works to Allen County Extension building - 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Sept 19 - show will be open to the public from 9am to 6pm
SALES: Sales are encouraged. If you wish to sell your art, please include the applicable price on your entry form. KY sales tax of 6% will be added to each sale.

AWARDS: There will be awards of cash and ribbons for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places. There will also be awards for Best of Show, People's Choice, and The Evelyn Law Aspiring Young Artist. Award checks will be mailed within one week after the show.
ENTRY FORM: Print the attached entry form, fill it out and mail to Katie Kelley, 170 Maple Dr, Scottsville KY 42164 by September 11, 2009. Don't forget to include your check for the entry fee. You may make additional copies of the entry form if necessary. The show is open to all persons regardless of race, color, personal handicap, gender, or age over 6 years and is handicap accessible.
